Tropical Storm Pedring is #1 Trending on Yahoo! Philippines - 09/27/11

According to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration(PAGASA), Tropical Storm Pedring makes landfall between Aurora and Isabela Provinces this Tuesday making it the top searched topic on Yahoo! Philippines as of  9A.M. today. In its 4 A.M. bulletin, Pagasa also said that Typhoon Pedring, also called NESA (International Name) has intensified with a maximum sustained winds of 140 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 170 kph.

The following areas are now placed under signal # 3:

Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Abra, Apayao, Kalinga, Mt. Province, Cagayan, Isabela, Ifugao, Benguet, La Union, Nueva Viscaya, Quirino, Aurora, Nueva Ecija,Tarlac, Pangasinan and Zambales.

Signal # 2: Pampanga, Bulacan, Bataan, Rizal, Northern Quezon inc. Polillo is., Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Lubang is., Babuyan and Calayan group of islands and Metro Manila.

Signal #1: Batanes, Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro, Marinduque, Burias is., Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Albay,Southern Quezon, Catanduanes, Calamian group of is., and Romblon group of islands. 

CHED has declared suspension of classes in NCR and affected areas.

Malacañang  has also announced work suspension in governement offices covering NCR, Regions 1, 2, 3, CAR, Batangas Cavite, Rizal and Laguna.
